The following is a handwritten prayer that I wrote on an index card.  I kept it in my Bible for many years.  It is dated July 13, 2009.  That is close to 3 years prior to my first day of true sobriety.

When I wrote it I was desperate and didn’t know what to do about my excessive drinking. I had tried everything, so I thought.  This was about the same time period that I wrote the Sin Poem.
