Healthy Snack Bar Recipe

I am addicted to the goop blog (   I came across a healthy recipe on the goop website that I must share with you.   In theory granola-type snack bars are supposed to be good for you, but the kind you buy in the store have too many artificial chemicals and unnecessary preservatives.

30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge

I am starting the new year with a couple get-healthy challenges.  My first one is a 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge.  I found this particular challenge in the book, Green for Life, by Victoria Boutenko.  At the end of the 30 days there are 12 questions I am to answer to describe my experience.

Tammy’s Mean Green Juice

I have been dabbling in juicing these past 4 – 5 weeks.  The more I use other people’s recipes to learn certain taste combinations, the more ambitious and creative I’ve become.

Here is one of the most popular green juices created by Joe Cross and Phil Staples from their Reboot Program.

Mean Green Juice

  •  1 cucumber
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2 apples
  • 6-8 leaves kale (Australian tuscan cabbage)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp ginger
