That is not who you are

Dear Seeking Sister,

The underserved forgiveness I have been provided by God, which is Grace, empowers me to do what truth demands.

Contrary to what some believe, you can NOT have real change by mere will power. Will power will only get you temporary change and will power doesn’t allow for true, lasting, transformational change.

A portion of Zechariah 4:6 says, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty—you will succeed because of my Spirit…’ (TLB). When you’re engaged in thoughts or deeds that you know you shouldn’t be – the Holy Spirit nudges you and tells you, “That is not who you are.”

That is truth and combined with Grace you can overcome any sin.

Take time today to fill yourself up and become completely enamored with Grace even in the light of your sin.

Grace empowers us to do what truth demands.

If you read this, I prayed for you this morning. I prayed that no matter where your current understanding of Grace is today, that it is deepened and your faith strengthened. If you would be so kind, please pray for me too.

If you read this and don’t know your loving, Savior, but want to get to know Him, please reach out to me so we can talk. No pressure, no stress – just a chat.

Always and in all ways, remain in His Grip!
